Ecuador has so much to offer for agricultural businesses worldwide. Doing business in Ecuador is often difficult for outsiders, the cultural and administrative barriers are very high. However with our Ecuador and Dutch knowledge combined and having a strong network in all agricultural and logistical areas, Vialanga is your bridge to success between Ecuador and Europe.
Local farmers in the developing world are often overlooked by society, despite all they have to offer. Vialanga believes local farmers and their flexibility are the key to sustainability and at the same time to conservation efforts and eradicating poverty. We focus mainly on small local farmers, supports them with knowledge and connect them with modern technology.

Vialanga was founded with a deep desire to help protect the Amazon rainforest. Apart from educating small-scale farmers on sustainable agriculture and ecological importance, we donate a share of our profits to the Save the Native Forest Foundation which acquires and protects highly biodiverse rainforests in Ecuador.
Luisa is a strong mom of 8 and grandma of many. She is 76 years and still going strong. She loves to be busy and to participate on the family farms.
Jony is our right hand man, he is young and ambitious. Jony had no access to education or modern technology in the past, but he is learning quickly and he has proved himself to be invaluable to us. We helped finance him to setup his own malanga farm and he is helping us getting others started as well.
Nelson is one of our Malanga farmers and he has a lot of knowledge about the crop. We helped finance his plantation, so that he could keep following his passion, malanga farming!
Carlos is another one of our malanga partners and his wife also helps cutting the seeds and cooking lunches for all the workers, during sowing and harvesting. Carlos has been growing it for ten years now. He grows his own malanga's and is a very hard worker, who we are proud to collaborate with!
Apart from working strongly with local farmers, we also grow our own plantations. Here we can experiment. Since we have access to learn from European knowledge on sustainable agriculture, which we can implement and test on our own plantations in Ecuador, and then pass it on to the farmers we work with. This improves land optimalisation and thus tackles deforestation whilst also eradicating poverty.
